The connection and neck of the straight OI implant has the same features as the tapered OI implant described above.
The range of prostheses is entirely common to both implants. The conical shape of the tapered OI implant optimises management of bone volume when reduced (vestibular concavity, convergent roots, etc). It also helps to increase primary retention of the implant when the bone is soft.
The OI straight implant will be particularly well suited in the maxillary sector. The highly rounded apical shape is ideal for raising sinus membranes through a crestal approach.
